Day #3- Gratitude Challenge

Did you know that I have two of the best children ever?  Really.  I am so blessed with these two. Yea they have their moments but I am so grateful for them.    Madi is so pure and loving.  She has very high standards for herself and for those around her.  She does not like the things of the world.  She is so grounded in the gospel.  I am shocked sometimes at her choices and behavior.  She did not learn them because of me.  She is an example to me.  I am one lucky momma!!

Will has had his moments.  But I love him still the same.  He is our comic relief!  He can make any situation a blast!!!  He is really smart under all that goofiness. He has surprised me this last couple of years.  I was worried about how to teach him compassion.  But he knows, deep down he loves to serve people and help when he can.   I am two times lucky!!!

Day #2- Gratitude

This is one the I do not talk about often enough.   I am truly grateful to be married to a wonderful man. He is  an amazing father and loving husband.  I do not show him the appreciation that he deserves.  In fact this is sad that I could not find a better picture of him right now.  I do have several of him sleeping but thought against posting them.

He is a kind, gentle and caring father. He is there when his kids need him the most.  Madison was having a really hard time adjusting to school this year and he was there every morning helping her get ready and taking her to school and helping her with her feelings.  I think it is really good bonding time for them too.

For some reason Will listens to Mike more at home than me.  He has a firm voice when it comes to Will and he for the most part response to that.

Mike loved coming to the school to read to what ever class he could.  He loves just coming and helping with the kids.

So for all the crap I give him, he really is a great guy and I love him!!!!  Thank you Mike!!!

Day #1- Gratitude Challenge

First or foremost I am grateful for a loving Heavenly Father.  I know all things are through him.  He knows me better than I know myself.  Sometimes I have a hard time excepting that but I know it is true. He has provided me with a savior and redeemer.  I love my older brother Jesus Christ.  I try to follow his example in my life.  Sometimes I am not to successful but tomorrow is always another day and I start again.  He provides me with the Holy Ghost to help me on this earthly journey.  Sometimes I walk away from him but he is by my side helping me guide my way back to where I belong.  I am truly thankful for the gospel of Jesus Christ.  I am grateful that 22 years ago a friend introduced me to two missionaries from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints.  That meeting changed my life.  For some reason I have this feeling that I have always been aware of the truth of the gospel. That day, I remembered it and accepted it in my life.  The Church has helped me make decisions and giving the strength to do what is right.   I am truly grateful for a Loving Heavenly Father!

Gratitude Challenge

It has been so long since I wrote on the blog.  Sometimes living life is all you can do.  Talking about it just sometimes hurts to much or you just really can't not find the words to say.  I have felt somewhat empty in the last couple of months.  Somethings missing.  Still not sure what it is but I know that something is gone or just has not shown up yet.  So I am going to step out side my comfort zone and get back into the game (or blog)!

I am not one to be vocal about things that I am grateful for.  I am truly grateful for a lot of things, people, and what not.  I tell people all the time, Thank you, you are awesome, I am grateful for you but for some reason I have not had the words to say what or who I am grateful for.

So I am giving myself my own gratitude challenge. For the next 30 days I will write down the things I am grateful for.  But I will also try to update on things that have happened over the last couple of months (years) so that I can preserve those memories before it gets to late!!!  So I only have a few minutes for day one.

Trunk-R-Treat 2012

Madi as Olympic Hero Missy Franklin.  Mr. Lanseer gave Madi this jacket.  It is a USA Olympic jacket.  Madi made the cap herself.  I ordered 5 medals for her and got her the bouquet of flowers.   She loved her idea!!!
Will is the youngest recruit for the Cleveland Indians!!!!  I bet he would make the team better!!!
